Women's Race

The Women’s Race is one of the most prominent highlights of the Al Salam Championship, showcasing the strength and determination of women at their finest. The race features diverse categories for amateurs and professionals, with participation from Emirati cyclists, residents of the UAE, and national team riders from the GCC countries, alongside a distinguished lineup of world champions in cycling. This creates an exceptional event that combines both challenge and sporting excellence.

Events Terms & Condition

 

  • Participation in this race is exclusively for the women’s category.

  • Participants must be 19 years of age or older.

  • Each participant must be either a citizen of the United Arab Emirates or hold a valid UAE residence permit.

  • The bicycle must weigh no less than 6.8 kilograms.

  • Each rider must wear two race numbers on the lower back and one number on the bicycle.

  • All directional signs for the start, covered distances, and remaining distances will be displayed along the race route.

  • Replacement of tires, wheels, or bicycles, or waiting for a teammate who has been dropped or involved in an accident, is permitted only among members of the same team.

  • Pushing between riders is strictly prohibited under all circumstances and will result in disqualification.

  • Riders may exchange food or drinks with one another during the race.

  • Support vehicles must position themselves on the side of the road opposite the wind direction and within a 50-meter range.
